A New approach to our professional training for therapists…
ONE-TO-ONE TRAINING WITH MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY
This is an outline of how our courses are organised into the Theory of Chinese Medicine and the practice of Tuina Massage:
A. Core Underpinning Knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), including basic concepts and diagnostic methods.
This section of the course, which is common to all our courses, is delivered as Home Study with Units of Self Assessment. Support is available on line and through emails.
Summative assessment will take place in Stage One and Stage Two of the blocks of contact teaching TUINA THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
Those participants who have already become competent in these Core Studies, either through one of our own courses or through another TCM Centre, are exempted from this part of the course.
B. Chinese Medicine in Practice (Tuina Therapeutic Massage)
This largely practical part of our courses is delivered in two Six-day blocks of contact teaching. As outlined above a summative assessment (including TCM) will be made during each block of contact teaching.
C. Supervision
At the end of each of the two stages participants will be required to submit for assessment case notes relating to a required number of treatments that they have carried out.
The content of our courses, which has been used successfully for a number of years, will continue to form the basis or our teaching under this new structure.
